Leavenworth, Washington... A Dreamy Getaway, Close to Home

Are you dreaming of visiting a Bavarian Village, but lack the desire to actually leave the country? Well, as luck would have it, you can have your Bavarian Cream Cake and eat it too!

Welcome to the beautifully quaint mountain town of Leavenworth, Washington. Once a thriving lumber town, Leavenworth suffered greatly when The Great Northern Railway Company  re-routed the railroad and the sawmill closed down. The resulting depression, which lasted over 30 years, was nearly the end of the once bustling hub.  In the early 60's, the community leaders of Leavenworth came together and made a plan to save their town. They decided to capitalize on the beautiful Alpine backdrop of their hamlet, and reinvent themselves as a Bavarian themed village. The result is nothing short of stunning.

Drawing in more than a million tourists each year, Leavenworth has become a dreamy destination getaway. With local shops selling everything from sausages and beer steins to handcrafted soaps, specialty chocolates, and holiday decorations, there is truly something for everyone. There are a few RV Parks to chose from, but our favorite is the Alpine View RV Park, located just 3/4 of a mile from downtown.

If you're looking for a getaway that's not to far, but feels like another world, Leavenworth, Washington could be just the place for you...  I mean where else can you find a Starbucks that looks like this?
