Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

Spend any amount of time watching the news or reading the paper, and you're likely to have that sinking feeling that not much is going right in the world. However, as with anything special or good, you've got to look a little harder to find that silver lining. Here at Paul Evert's RV - We've been looking and for once, the news is GOOD!

Our local paper, The Fresno Bee, has had quite a few gems in it's December issues. Just check out what the headlines are saying! We had good holiday sales, the banks are starting to lend again, home sales are up, and even Starbucks is back to making money!

The Coachmen Apex Travel Trailer - Worth it's (ultra-lite) weight in gold!

Here at Paul Evert's RV Country, we take our product selection very seriously. After our sales department spent the day learning all the ins and outs and cool things about the Coachmen Apex Travel Trailer, we were able to sit down with our rep, Mark Kealoha for a crash course of our own.

We asked Mark to tell us what the 3 greatest things about the Apex are and here's what we learned.

1) A TRUE "Ultra-lite" travel trailer.
With a dry weight starting at only 2,400 lbs, the Apex is a TRUE ultra-lite. There are 9 floorplans ranging from 17' - 26', none weighing more than 4,400 lbs and 5 of those come with a slideout! That makes them light enough to be towed by most vans, crossovers, and SUV's!

2) Light weight but still lots of variety.
The Apex has 6 hardside floorplans, 3 hybrid/expandable floorplans, AND there will be a lightweight toy hauler floorplan available as soon as February 2011!

3) Small size, big features!
Where most manufacturers make you pay extra, Apex wanted to offer as much as they could standard with the trailer. When comparing models, you'll find air conditioning, a stereo, privacy windows, and 2-tone cabinetry.

You know we couldn't stop at just three things, right?!
  • Did you know the Apex is one of just a few manufacturers to be TRA certified green?
  • Did you know that Apex uses the TC1 in-wall slideout system? This means NO CABLES!
  • Did you know that Apex has an expandable floorplan with a flat floor? Use the 2.5' raised inflatable mattress as a bedroom suite or deflate the mattress and it turns into a patio room!

What are you looking for in a new RV? Poll results show....

You have spoken and the RV makers have heard you! According to a recent RV consumer poll there are some sought after features you're looking for in a new RV and Paul Evert's RV just happens to have them in stock!

#1 - Larger kitchen counter tops!
While the sink covers are helpful, RV consumers are looking for a little something more.

The Keystone Montana High Country isn't only state of the art when it comes to weight, look at all that counter space pictured above!
The Keystone Outback Sydney Edition 325FRE (Pictured above) again shows that not all counter tops are created equal.
Monaco Coach makes the most of the counter space in their luxury motorhomes by including a pull out counter, solid sink covers, and stove covers.

#2 - Larger showers!
With all of the sprawling floorplans offered, some manufacturers are sure to not forget the spacious bathroom.

Thor Motorcoach is ensuring your comfort by installing a 24" x 40" shower in the Challenger 32VS.

While still trying to minimize space, the new A.C.E. by Thor Motorcoach is installing curved shower curtain rods to allow for extra shoulder room.

Various floorplans in Montana by Keystone RV can include a spacious 36" garden tub/shower with an adjustable height shower head, molded shelves, and a wash cloth holder.

#3 - Residential sized beds!
This one makes a lot of sense, replacing a mattress or buying linens is much easier without a specialty sized bed.  Paul Evert's RV Country carries several brands and models that now offer this feature.

Both Monaco RV and Tiffin Motorhomes offer residential sized Select Comfort beds.

Every Keystone Montana offers full sized residential King Beds

What features would you like to have in your next RV?

One reason why we partner with Keystone RV!

At Paul Evert's RV Country, we try hard to have the best quality and largest selection of RV's for our customers to choose from. Over the years, some manufacturers have really exceeded our expectations and Keystone RV is one of those RV manufactures. In fact, they make so many wonderful products that we carry almost every model of travel travel trailer, fifth wheel, and toy hauler that they make! They are made of highest quality while still being affordable, two factors which we're sure help make them a #1 seller in the country.  And as Curt Curtis mentioned in a previous blog, "We're honored to continue our relationship with one of the most forward thinking and innovative fifth wheel, travel trailer, and toy hauler manufacturers in the RV industry!"

As a dealer, we've found that as the economy has changed, the demand for lighter weight vehicles has increased. Keystone RV has responded to this demand with a new line of products they call "High Country". Two of their most popular fifth wheels, Montana and Cougar both use what Keystone RV calls “Helium Technology” to dramatically reduce the vehicle weight. This involved taking a new look at how to build a recreational vehicle as they didn’t approach it from the standpoint of cost, but of which building components were the lightest.

The Montana and Cougar High Country editions are THE ONLY fifth wheels in the industry with TWO slideouts that can be towed by a half ton truck. We both carry and have in stock the Montana and Cougar High Country Fifth Wheels. Please view our current selection on our website www.rvcountry.com

If that's not a good enough reason to love Keystone RV, check out a tidbit of what 2011 holds! Keystone RV is debuting the 10th Anniversary Outback edition to RV enthusiasts!

Improvements to the 10th Anniversary Edition include:
    • Sculptured, automotive-style gel-coat fiberglass front cap has been added to the Outback travel trailer line, replacing the plain Filon-front wall of previous models
    • LED hitch lights have been integrated into the front cap, supplanting less energy efficient incandescent lights
    • Distinctive 10th Anniversary graphics with new stripes and colors replace previous graphics
    • Use of metal arched roof trusses to create a vaulted ceiling throughout the entire length of the coach resulting in a more spacious interior and almost 7-feet of interior height
Wow!!  Click here to check out more!

Best of the Best in 2010! Look at where our partners are on the list!

RV Buddies is proud to announce their choices for the “Best of the Best” RVs for 2010 in both motorized and towables categories.  Paul Evert's RV Country is proud to announce our partnership with almost every one on the list!
The recent shows and new product line-ups are both exciting and revolutionary. And with the RV industry on the upturn – the next decade looks both prosperous and exciting for both the consumer and manufacturer. One thing is certain; the box of yore is gone. New, adventurous designs are showing up and in the wings.
While there are many exceptional designs becoming available, these particular RVs simply stand out unlike any other.
Here are the RV Buddies selections for the “Best of the Best”…
At first glance you can see that this RV is different. It doesn’t have a flashy paint job, but rather a more timeless and classic look. After speaking with the folks at Monaco RV behind this project – it’s clear that there was significant thought to every nut, bolt and screw that went into the design. After three days with this coach it just grows on you more and more. You appreciate the subtle attention to detail and quality
Their slogan “Small is the New Big” is true. They jam-packed a lot of coach into a small package – all in the configuration of a diesel pusher. This short Class A diesel drives, handles and rides like a dream. And it turns on a dime. Stand in line if you want one of these. Tiffin can’t make them fast enough for eager RVers.
Where do we sign? This is a no-brainer purchase. Thor has built a great, small coach packed with features and at an insane price. You can now get a bus-style coach for the price of a Class C RV. And not since the “Winnebago Toaster” has a front cap boasted an “eye brow” protrusion – and it looks GREAT! Explore this coach – and you will. It’s packed with innovation – including the hotel-style shower curtain that extends shoulder room while bathing. Oh, and you can’t over-look all the pet-friendly features, built-in, standard!  See our text review on the site now. A full video review is in edit now.
If you are looking for an amazing fifth wheel – this is it. If you are looking for a motorized RV – don’t look at this. It may be the first towable product you ever consider buying! The upper front living room is amazing – with fireplace and HDTV. (It also converts into a private guest bedroom area.) Below, the spacious kitchen will be a popular gathering place. It even has a proper desk to do some work or write post cards to friends and family from the road. Aft is a walk-through bath with a second entry door. And all the way aft is a private owner’s suite.
